This is an interesting post. I don’t believe there should be a fixed formula for sharing expenses in marriage. Spending in marriage shouldn’t be stereotypical. The key is achieving financial alignment; understanding each other’s financial realities and what the marriage requires.
It’s truly not a one-size-fits-all situation. Once there’s alignment between both partners, financial issues rarely become a source of conflict because each person naturally understands their role and contributes organically toward achieving their shared financial goals.
